The meeting was a regional dissemination of the Lancet Series on Optimizing Child and Adolescent Health and Development. The speakers emphasized the profound impact of early years on lifelong well-being and encouraged collaboration to shape the future of child and adolescent health in the region. The Lancet series was introduced, and the four papers were discussed, covering mortality trends, evidence-based interventions, and delivery strategies for child health, the quality of health and adjacent social systems, and the critical role of nutrition and education in building human capital.
