The Office of Islamic Studies in Mental Health

The Office of Islamic studies in Mental Health was founded in eighties. There was a need as long ago, to have an office for planning, coordination interdisciplinary, also complying of mental health, psychiatry and religious training.  Some of mental health experts and university officials established this office by enjoying consultation with some official distinguished professors and officials from scientific center for Islamic studies ( Hozeh) Professor Jafar Bolhari  Professor of psychiatry at the Mental Health Research Center, Iran University of Medical Sciences) suggested this idea to  Dr Ahmad Vaezi , vice chancellor for research in Iran University in medical science of the time  via corresponding and this office was established with the approval of him in Azar 1366.Since then up to now, this office has been active in research and training  in religious areas, mental health and psychology also has contribution with others centers as well as seminars and workshops.
