Objectives
Knowledge Translation, Exchange and Commercialization (KTEC) Group is a division of the “Office of Health Technology Development” working under the “IUMS Office of Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology.”
The main objective of the group is to facilitate and enhance the process of transferring research findings to the audiences and stakeholders to improve the public health and to provide more effective health services and products.
Mission
Our mission is to employ the KTEC process to help a variety of mental health research audiences and stakeholders including mental health care providers, patients, managers and policy makers to use evidence from research to make informed decisions.
Vision
Our vision is a faculty that can properly identify the needs of the community and respond to these needs by using research products and applying the knowledge translation process.
Responsibilities
- To train the faculty members and researchers to employ KTEC skills in conducting their research projects
- To evaluate the faculty and research centers in terms of employing KTEC process in their research projects
- To publish the results of the research projects through the Iranian Ministry of Health website for Health Research Results (http://news.research.ac.ir/)
- To conduct workshops and seminars about KTEC activities in medical sciences
