WHO partnership with Collaborating Centers: Strengthening value and impact
According to the Secretariat of the WHO Collaborating Centre – School of Behavioral Sciences and Mental Health (Tehran Psychiatric Institute), the meeting was held on Monday, April 7, 2025, with the participation of the heads of WHOcc, Dr. Mahmood Dehghani, Dr. Sahar Eshrati, the Secretary of WHOcc for mental health and colleagues of collaborating centers of WHO.

Key Points Discussed in the Meeting were to review the roles and priorities of the World Health Organization and how to promote cooperation of WHO with the collaborating centers. This meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and ideas about the future of the World Health Organization and the role of collaborating centers. Based on the discussions, it can be concluded that due to exit of the United States from the WHO in 2026, online and closer collaboration using AI, providing an electronic bank, and proper prioritization can significantly contribute to improving global health.
