Master of Science (M.Sc.)
The Master of Science in International Addiction Studies course offers students cross‐cultural exposure to critical prevention and treatment practices, as well as research and policy issues in the field of addiction with focus on EMRO region. This program provides unique opportunities to study addiction in its broadest sense and examine key issues from an international perspective.
Language of Instruction
Classes during the program are held in English/Persian (translated to English). The students who are going to research in subjects in Iran, learning Persian are obligatory due to interaction with Iranian participants/stakeholders/patients.
Location
All classes will be held in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The online classes will be held in the platforms that Iran University of Medical Sciences support.
Program Duration
Duration of the program is a minimum of four semesters in two years and maximum of five semesters.

Admission Requirements
General Requirements: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements. Which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requirements: Holding a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in psychology, General Practitioner, or medical related majors such as nursing, social work, … in Iran or abroad.
All eligible candidates (except psychology/General Practitioner) should have successfully completed the dissertation/published article about substance use disorder.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved related Degree program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
