Ph.D. in Clinical psychology

Ph.D. in clinical psychology is a 4 year and 6 months’ course, which the students have to pass several theoretical and practical courses, and after completing the training course and passing the comprehensive exam, they spend a one-year internship under the supervision of academic professors in given fields. After completing the internship, the students complete their doctoral thesis.

 

Language of Instruction

Classes during the first years of the program are held in English, but the rest years of the program will be held in Persian.

Location

All (English, and Persian classes) will be held in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Program Duration

Duration of the program is nine semesters.

 

Program Description:

The field of clinical psychology is a branch of psychology that includes education, research, diagnosis and psychotherapy of psychological disorders within the framework of medical sciences. In addition to diagnosis and psychotherapy of psychological disorders, graduates of this field will be able to teach and research in the above fields.
 

Objectives:

General competencies expected of the graduates include:

  • Planning to prevent psychological disorders
    1. Diagnosis of psychological disorders
               Psychotherapy of psychological disorders
               Research about psychological disorders
